African Development Bank 2020 Annual meetings: Building Africa back better after the COVID-19 pandemic | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World News

For the first time in the history of the African Development Bank (http://www.AfDB.org), its Annual Meetings will be held virtually to comply with the COVID-19 pandemic-related social-distancing guidelines. During the meetings, Governors are expected to receive updates on a range of Bank developments since the previous Annual Meetings held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea in June 2019. In December 2019, African Development Fund Donors pledged $7.6 billion, the fifteenth such replenishment, to help Africa's poorest countries. Bank Governors are typically the finance and economy ministers or Central Bank Governors of the 54 African regional member countries and 27 non-regional member countries. Distributed by APO Group on behalf of African Development Bank Group (AfDB).
